2. Data Collected

The site collects different categories of personal data depending on the user’s access level and interaction.

2.1 Public Visitors

  • Technical browsing data (IP address, server logs, browser type, pages visited) collected automatically while browsing.
  • Data provided voluntarily through the contact form (e.g. name, email, subject of the message).

2.2 Registered Users

  • Data collected at registration (e.g. name, email).

2.3 Clients

In addition to identification and contact data, the client area also involves billing and payment data, necessary for managing the business relationship.

2.4 Staff and Collaborators

For applications and collaborator management, full personal data, professional experience, and identification documents (e.g. tax code or ID document) are collected.

3. Purposes and Legal Basis of Processing

Data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Responding to contact requests and providing information about services (legal basis: pre-contractual measures / consent)
  • Managing registration and access to restricted areas of the site (legal basis: contract performance / consent)
  • Managing the business relationship with clients, including billing (legal basis: contract performance, legal obligations)
  • Evaluating applications for Technical Crew or Testimonial/Commercial Anchor roles (legal basis: pre-contractual measures at the data subject’s request)
  • Sending promotional communications/newsletter, once activated (legal basis: specific consent)

4. Cookies

The site uses technical cookies necessary for its operation and, in the future, profiling/analytics cookies managed through a consent platform. No third-party tracking tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) are currently in use.

5. Newsletter

A newsletter service is planned. Subscription will require a specific, separate consent, and it will always be possible to withdraw it at any time via the unsubscribe link included in every communication.

6. Third-Party Providers and Data Processors

To deliver its services, OB84 relies on the following providers, appointed as data processors where applicable:

  • SupportHost — website hosting (server located in the United States)
  • Aruba S.p.A. — domain management and qualified timestamping service
  • Cozmoslabs (Profile Builder) — user profile and access role management

7. Transfer of Data Outside the EU

The site is hosted on servers located in the United States. For users connecting from the European Union or the European Economic Area, the transfer of personal data to the United States relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission (Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914), supplemented by appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to ensure a level of protection substantially equivalent to that provided under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). 8. Data Retention

Personal data is retained according to the following criteria, differentiated by category:

  • Technical browsing data (system logs): up to 12 months, unless needed for the investigation of criminal offenses.
  • Contact form data: for as long as necessary to handle the request and, absent further interaction, up to 24 months from the last contact.
  • Registered user data: for the duration of the account and up to 12 months after account deactivation or a deletion request.
  • Client data, including billing data: for 10 years after the end of the business relationship, in compliance with applicable tax and civil law obligations.
  • Staff and collaborator data, including identification documents: for the duration of the collaboration and for the following 10 years, in compliance with applicable tax, social security, and civil law obligations. Applications not followed by a collaboration are retained for up to 12 months.

9. Data Subject Rights

As a data subject, you have the right to request at any time:

  • access to your personal data;
  • rectification or erasure of your data;
  • restriction of processing;
  • data portability;
  • objection to processing;
  • withdrawal of consent, where processing is based on it.

10. Non-EU Users and Collaborators

Applications for Technical Crew or Testimonial/Commercial Anchor roles may also come from individuals residing outside the European Union. In such cases, local data protection laws of the applicant’s country of residence may also apply, in addition to this policy.

11. U.S. Users (CCPA/CPRA)

OB84 does not sell or share personal data with third parties for advertising purposes. As an entity subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), OB84 grants California residents the following rights:

  • the right to know which categories of personal information are collected, the purposes of processing, and any categories of third parties with whom the data is shared;
  • the right to access personal information collected over the past 12 months;
  • the right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions;
  • the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — a right that requires no specific action on our part, as OB84 does not sell or share personal information;
  • the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

12. Minors

The site and its services are not directed at minors under 18, and no knowing collection of minors’ data is intended.
